Pakistan vs South Africa: Pakistan beat South Africa by six wickets, setting a record in One-Day Internationals

jeetwin Agha scored his maiden ODI hundred while Mohammad Rizwan was brilliant for the fourth wicket, scoring 260 runs to help Pakistan to victory with six balls left in the match.

Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan both scored double centuries to help Pakistan beat South Africa by six wickets in the tri-nation series in Karachi on Wednesday, the highest score in a One-Day International.

In the absence of several first-team regulars, South Africa scored 352 for 5-3 in 50 overs, with captain Temba Bavuma (82), Mathieu Britzke (83) and Heinrich Klaassen (87) hitting half-centuries each, thanks to the fielding pace of the flat-out Lightning.

Pakistan were leading at 91-3 but Agha (134) scored his maiden ODI hundred and Mohammad Rizwan (122 not out) played brilliantly between the fourth wickets, scoring 260 runs to give Pakistan the win with six balls left.

The match broke the previous highest chase of 349 set against Australia in Lahore in 2022 and will also give the country a boost of confidence as it prepares for the Champions Trophy in a week’s time.

Pakistan will face New Zealand in the final of the tri-nation tournament in Karachi on Friday.
