U19 Men's Asia Cup: jeetbuzz Bangladesh beat India by 59 runs in final
jeetbuzz Defending champions Bangladesh defeated India by 59 runs in the final of the ACC U19 Men's Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
India, led by Mohamed Amman, chased a target of 199 but were eventually bowled out for 139 with over 14 overs to spare.
Amaan (26), Hardik Raj (24), KP Karthikeya (21) and C Andre Siddarth (20) is the only Indian batsman who started the game but failed to get out. No other hitter surpassed double digits.
Bangladesh's Iqbal Hussain Eamonn and Azizul Hakeem took three wickets each.
After being asked to bat first, Bangladesh posted 198 runs on the scoreboard thanks to Mohammad Shehab James (40), Rizaan Hawthorne (47) and Farid Hasan (39) important contribution.
Speed duo Yudhajit Guha and Chetan Sharma and spinner Hardik picked two wickets each.
