His tally is India's second-highest score in T20Is ever, after Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 37 wickets in 2022.


Ashdeep took 17 wickets in the T20 World Cup, joining Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi as the highest wicket-taker in the tournament.


His most memorable moment came in the final when he dismissed key players Aiden Markram and Quinton de Kock early on, derailing South Africa's pursuit of 177 runs. , he conceded just four runs and improved the required run-rate to set the stage for India's victory.
