Premier League bangladesh cricket referee Coote sacked for alleged comments about Liverpool and Klopp

bangladesh cricket In an official statement, PGMOL said: "David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation. PGMOL will make no further comment until the investigation is completed."

The decision was taken after a video of Coote emerged online in which he criticized Klopp and Liverpool, including using expletives. The video has not been confirmed by Sportstar, and it is unclear when it was filmed and its authenticity.

The video seems to refer to a Premier League match between Liverpool and Burnley in 2020, which ended in a 1-1 score with Coote taking the penalty. After the game, Klopp publicly criticized the Englishman, accusing him of not punishing Liverpool players for their tackles.

"We should have scored at least two, three or four goals. The referee let a lot of challenges go, so obviously if the ball goes into the box it's dangerous. They did what they're good at and I respect that."

Klopp, who led the Reds to their first Premier League title that season, left the Premier League side last season and is now Red Bull's global head of football.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are in red-hot form this season, with everything going well from German to Dutchman Arne Slott. In the Premier League, the team has achieved 7 wins in 9 games, is at the top of the standings, and will face Southampton after the international break on November 24.

Coote refereed the team's final league game, with goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah helping the team beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday.
