Going into the auction, RCB retained three players - Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal.


Who will captain RCB in IPL 2025?

RCB released Faf du Plessis, captain of the past three seasons, ahead of the auction. The franchise is widely expected to be purchased by local boy KL Rahul in the auction. But since that is not happening, the most likely option is for RCB to hand back the captaincy to Kohli.
